David Strother is a United States Marine Corps veteran, turned firefighter, turned Psychotherapist. He has been working in the mental health field since the early 2000's and has held a host of behavioral health positions. David was deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom and received several commendations and and an honorable discharge at the completion of his duty. He also served as a firefighter for the City of Lee's Summit where he spent 6 years serving members of that community. David received his B.S, in Social Psychology from Park University and graduated from University of Kansas with his MSW and currently holds a clinical license in several states He has a penchant for "plain speaking" and is passionate and knowledgeable about helping others.
David specializes in the treatment of trauma and stress related disorders and due to his unique background has high treatment compatibility with service connected individuals (military, veteran, first responder) as well as those who haven't served.
David has helmed two successful inpatient programs and provided direct services to over a thousand people in the last decade.
